31/10/2019,
The Argentinian Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, winner of the Nobel Prize for peace, launches an appeal in support of Pope Francis, for his commitment to the environment, justice, peace, for a Church concerned bowed for the poor. Fronting attacks carried out by conservative and reactionary groups, supported also by communication lobbies, the Nobel Prize believes that the time has come to "raise the voice" and to convert sympathy and affection towards the Pope in a concrete commitment. The campaign, called "Love in action", is launched at this time on the “secure.avaaz.org platform” and is aimed at everyone. To that "pray for me" that Pope Francis asks at the end of his every speech, emphasises Pérez Esquivel, not only Catholics can respond. But also all those who have a sense of humanity and share the values of solidarity and dialogue that since 2013 Bergoglio needs to be reaffirmed by challenging groups of power that, inside and outside the Church, are not willing to give up privileges and claims to dominate others.
